Lizzy Gold, the Nollywood actress, has revealed details about her previous rift with her colleague Destiny Etiko.
In an emotional birthday tribute posted on Instagram, Lizzy reflected on their two-year separation, attributing it to industry gossip and misunderstandings.
Lizzy praised Destiny as a “beautiful soul” and one of the few people who truly understands her.
The actress also expressed gratitude that Destiny eventually saw through the rumours and reconnected with her, despite ongoing attempts by others to stir drama.
“Two years ago we separated as friends because of too many ‘them say in Nollywood’. I became lonely because I don’t make friends easily like you do. So I channeled all the energy into my craft but I missed you and sometimes I would watch the way you mingle so easily and wonder how you do it,” she wrote.
“But I realized it’s your nature. But I thank God you realized you were deceived and came back to me. Some people are still trying to resume ‘them say’ but trust me when you start with them say again, we would discuss and laugh over you.
“Everyone has grown, nobody has energy to listen to gossip anymore.”
Lizzy prayed for Destiny’s success and happiness, urging her not to let outside forces come between them again.
“Destiny, you have a beautiful soul and you are one of the few people that understand me. I love you for who you are, I love your imperfections. I pray today that God will open its heavens and release more blessings for you and your house hold,” she added.
“Please do not let any weapon in form of human separate us again. You already know I do not give rooms for gossips. I love you baby. Happy birthday to my friend, my hardworking colleague and my love.”
