Israel ‘DMW’ Afeare, the logistics manager to Davido, and Ubi Franklin, the music executive, have deleted their profile pictures on Instagram.
The trend comes a day after Davido, the Afrobeats star, deleted thousands of Instagram posts, including his display picture.
The Afrobeats star, however, retained 50 posts with only three visible; that of Ifeanyi, his late son, his performance at the World Cup in Qatar, and photos of him and Chioma.
Aside from Israel and Ubi, other associates of Davido who followed suit include Asa Asika, his manager, and Bobo Ajudua, his lawyer.
Davido has been on a social media hiatus since the shocking death of his three-year-old son on October 30, 2022.
He made his first public appearance after Ifeanyi’s death at the swearing-in ceremony of Ademola Adeleke, his uncle, as Osun governor, on November 27.
He also returned to social media shortly before his performance at the closing ceremony of the 2022 FIFA World on December 18 and shared loved-up photos with his fiancée.
After the performance, Davido teased about his return to music, which he said was going to be in March.
Last month, Israel DMW hinted that Davido will be releasing an album in March.
Davido has also been scheduled to perform with Tems at this year’s Governors Ball Festival slated to run for three days — from June 9 to 11 — in the United States.
With over 26 million followers on Instagram and 13 million on Twitter, Davido’s influence has increasingly grown on social media and in the entertainment space in the 10-year span of his music career.
