Ogunlaja Ahmed Oriyomi, an orphan and 100 level sociology student of the Lagos State University (LASU), has won the first edition of Lagos Got Talent competition.
The 18-year-old whose stage name is Mr. Gula, represented Epe zone in the competition.
Contestants at the finale included a pair of contortionists, 3 rappers and a group of dynamic dancers.
Oriyomi, who was immensely psyched to win the talent competition, said he lost both parents when he was only 7-years-old.
The upcoming artiste said the memory of his parents kept him motivated all through the competition.
Mariam Abiodun, a.k.a Caddy Bliss, and the duo of Popoola Tobilola and Gbadamosi Joseph were the runners-up of the competition.
The finalists had emerged from zonal auditions which originally produced 250 talents.
Akinwunmi Ambode, Lagos state governor, congratulated them and urged them to continuously hone and fine-tune their craft.
Steve Ayorinde, commissioner for information and strategy, had said in an earlier statement, that the winner would be handsomely rewarded.
