A female graduate of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) says operating commercial tricycles is better than being a teacher in Nigeria.

On Thursday, a video surfaced online showing the female tricyclist dropping off her passengers.

One of the passengers thereafter sought to make a video of her after noticing her command of language was too fluent to fit the stereotyped transporter without tertiary education.

In the video, the tricyclist introduced herself as a physiology graduate of UNICAL who abandoned her teaching job for the transport business.

“I’m a graduate of physiology from the University of Calabar. I’m from Imo state. I was teaching in a private school but I got tired of their treatment and the pay was low,” she said.

“I’ve actually taught in four private schools. I decided to start riding Keke, hoping I’ll be earning better. Keke work is better than teaching by far.”

TheCable Lifestyle had earlier reported how a polytechnic graduate in Kaduna, who left his banking job to hawk, bread said his decision has turned out to be a “blessing”.
