Kanye West, the US rapper now officially known as Ye, says Kim Kardashian still remains his wife despite their ongoing divorce.

The 44-year-old musician had separated from Kim after she filed for divorce in February — about seven years after they tied the knot.

The pair later agreed to have joint custody of their four children — North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2 — with neither of them needing spousal support.

But speaking when he appeared on Revolt TV’s Drink Champs podcast on Thursday, the musician repeatedly addressed Kim as his “wife”.

Ye also reflected on the jokes Kim made about their split when she featured on Saturday Night Live (SNL) in October.

“When I divorced him, you have to know it came down to just one thing: his personality,” she had said on SNL.

But the rapper had hit back at the reality star, insisting that he and Kim are still together as they are yet to finalise their divorce process.

“SNL making my wife say ‘I divorced him’ on TV because they just wanted to get that bar off… And I ain’t never even see the papers, we not even divorced,” he said.

Ye also hinted at the possibility of the pair putting their differences aside, saying his kids want him and their mother to stay together.

“This ain’t no joke to me. My kids want their parents to stay together. I want us to be together,” he added.

The rapper went on to call out the media, accusing it of promoting the narrative that he and Kim were already divorced.

“If you look at the media, that’s not what they’re promoting. That’s not what they want,” he added.

“They want it to be a new episode, a new TV show. And then they have people all around in my wife’s ear.”

The development comes amid rumours that Kim is dating Pete Davidson, US actor and SNL star.
