Justin Timberlake, the US singer, has been arrested for allegedly driving under the influence (DUI) in the United States.

According to ABC News, Timberlake was detained by police on Monday night in Sag Harbor, on the eastern end of Long Island.

He was arraigned on Tuesday and charged with one count of driving while intoxicated along with citations for failure to keep right and failure to stop at a stop sign.

“On June 18, 2024, Justin Timberlake was arrested in Sag Harbor for Driving While Intoxicated,” reads a short statement from the Suffolk county district attorney’s office.

“He will be arraigned in Sag Harbor Village Justice Court this morning. At this time, we have no further comment.”

Timberlake is on a tour for his latest album, ‘Everything I Thought It Was’.

The ‘Forget Tomorrow World Tour’ is scheduled to play host to Chicago’s United Center on June 21 and June 22, before heading to New York City’s Madison Square Garden on June 25 and June 26.

Timberlake began his career in the 1990s as a member of NSYNC before going solo in 2002.

The ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling’ singer has released other studio albums, including ‘Justified’ (2002), ‘FutureSex/LoveSounds’ (2006), ‘The 20/20 Experience’ (2013), ‘The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2’ (2013), and ‘Man of the Woods’ (2018).

He has received numerous awards and recognitions for his work.
