Jeremy ‘Jeremih’ Felton, American R&B singer, has been hospitalised after contracting COVID-19.
According to TMZ, the singer is currently in an intensive care unit (ICU) on a breathing ventilator in Chicago.
Although it is unclear how long the R&B star had been admitted, sources close to him told the news outlet that his condition has continued to worsen as words of his health condition spread in the music space.
50 Cent and Chance The Rapper are among many others who took to social media on Saturday to ask for prayers on Jeremih’s behalf.
“If you can take a second to pray for my friend Jeremih, he is like a brother to me and he’s ill right now. I believe in the healing power of Jesus so if you can for me please please say a prayer over him,” Chance the Rapper wrote.

Some songs for which Jeremih is known are ‘Don’t Tell’em’, ‘Down on Me’, ‘Planez’, ‘All The Time’, and ‘Ride It’.
In 2009, he signed a deal with Def Jam Recordings after which ‘Birthday Sex’, his debut single, peaked at number four on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song would later be his self-titled debut album released the same year.
Jeremih’s success continued with the release of his second album ‘All About You’, which was led by the hit single ‘Down on Me’. The track would similarly reach the top five of the Billboard Hot 100.
In 2014, his single ‘Don’t Tell ‘Em’ with YG, an American rapper, became his third top-ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100. After multiple delays, Jeremih would later release his third studio album ‘Late Nights’ in 2015.
Jeremih’s latest project, a collaborative album with Ty Dolla Sign titled ‘MihTy’, was released on August 24, 2018.
