James Brown, the controversial Nigerian crossdresser, says he has begun his study at a university in the United Kingdom (UK).
The brand influencer spoke about his admission to the varsity in an Instagram post to mark his birthday on Tuesday.
Brown, whose real name is James Obialor, disclosed that he sponsored himself into the varsity despite the odds.
He, however, did not reveal the name of the varsity or his course of study at the institution.
“What a beautiful gift I gave myself this year by sponsoring myself to study in a university in UK,” he wrote.
“I never stopped dreaming of the impossible because earlier this year I made the decision to support myself through university and I was faced with one of the biggest obstacles in my life.”
The crossdresser also shared a video via his Instagram stories wherein he could be seen in a classroom giving a presentation.
Brown came into the limelight after a video went viral where he made a grammatical blunder — “they didn’t caught me” — following his arrest a few years ago.
He had earlier narrated how his grandmother nurtured him after his mother rejected him a few days after his birth.
“This is my grandma the woman I cherish the most with my blood, body and soul. This is the only woman who took me in when I was rejected by my mom back then when I was just 2 days old, this woman breastfeed me, clothe me, gave me shelter, knowing fully well that I’m just her granddaughter/son,” he had written.
