Luckily for the singer, the lady turned herself in via the microblogging platform after which he promised to go on a date with her.

Just as promised, Iyanya went on a date with the concertgoer and also shared updates on the outing via his Twitter account on Sunday.

It, however, remains to be seen if the pair are now in a relationship.

In a recent event, Davido said at times, he gets into arguments with his father over how he spends his money.

“(Showbiz) It’s still business. Sometimes we get into a lot of arguments. You know, showbiz is different from a normal person’s life that is just doing business,” he said.

“Like for example, I might be in Italy and maybe he just sees a caption ‘Oh Davido buys this $300,000 watch’ He will be like ‘Why are you wasting money like that’? I will be like, Dad you won’t understand. We are using it to inspire people. But all in all, it is still business.

“He still calls me to make sure that I save here, invest there.”

Davido also said each time he meets with Dangote, the African richest man always advises him to save his money

“Every time I see him he just says one thing and one thing only, ‘save your money’. There’s nothing more he tells me. But he and my dad have been very close friends since they were young. And he has done well for us back home. He made us a lot of industries. He does it all. He just opened a cement factory,” he said.

EMPRESS NJAMAH EX-LOVER ARRESTED IN LIBERIA

The police in Liberia arrested Nicholas Jack Davis, the ex-lover of Empress Njamah, the actress, for allegedly victimising 20 women.

Moses Carter, the Liberian police spokesperson, said the suspect — popularly called George Wade — “victimised over 20 females by absconding with their belongings.”

The police spokesperson added that there were also reports of him trying to allegedly scam a Nigerian actress.

The police said they are currently investigating the case, adding that he will be prosecuted if found guilty.

ED SHEERAN COPYRIGHT TRIAL

The copyright infringement trial of Ed Sheeran, the Grammy-winning English singer, began last week in the United States.

The British singer is being sued by the heirs of Ed Townsend, co-writer of ‘Let’s Get It On’, a 1973 song by the late Marvin Gaye.

The lawsuit, which was initially filed in 2017, alleged “striking similarities” and “overt common elements” between Sheeran’s ‘Thinking Out Loud’ and the 1973 soul classic.

The 32-year-old British pop star testified at the Manhattan federal courtroom last Monday.

During Tuesday’s trial, Sheeran said he would have to be an “idiot” to rip off Gaye’s song and then perform it for thousands of fans.

On Thursday, Sheeran played the chord progression of ‘Thinking Out Loud’ in Manhattan federal court.

Sheeran sang the song’s opening words: “When your legs don’t work like they used to.”

The trial is expected to resume today.

But if the seven-member jury finds the singer guilty of the allegation, the trial will enter a second phase to determine how much he owes.

YUL EDOCHIE FINALLY SPEAKS ON SON’S DEATH

The actor on Thursday broke his silence on the death of Kambilichukwu, his eldest son with May, his first wife.

While mourning his son — nearly a month after he passed on — the film star also recalled his last moment with Kambilichukwu, adding that “I can’t question God.”

Edochie also described his late son as a “cheerful and loving soul who has made his mark on earth.”

In late March, Kambilichukwu was said to have developed a seizure while playing football with his colleagues in school.

The 16-year-old boy was rushed to Mother and Child Hospital in Lagos, where he was confirmed dead.
