Ituah Ighodalo, senior pastor of the Trinity House church, is holding a concert in honour of Ibidun Ighodalo, his late wife, who would have clocked 40 by July 19.
The concert themed ‘Global 4×10’ will be held on Saturday evening. It will feature musicians such as Ron Kenoly of USA, Sammie Okposo, Mike Aremu, TY Bello, Tope Alabi among others.
“Join us as we continue to celebrate Pastor Mrs Ibidunni Ighodalo. In her honour, we will be having a Global Worship Concert on the 18th July from 8pm – 12am,” the clergyman wrote on Instagram.
Ibidun had died of a heart attack while in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, in a development that gave rise to tributes from public figures, politicians, and well-meaning citizens.
Asue Ighodalo, a brother to her husband, had also recounted how Ibidun’s mother built a house, the key to which she planned giving her on her birthday in what she termed a gesture of love.
Before her death, Ibidun had opened up on undergoing 11 IVFs, the pressure over her fertility journey, and her quest to find happiness, all of which she said birthed her fertility foundation.
Dayo Richards, the coordinator for the Ibidunni Ighodalo Foundation, which provides grants for couples that require fertility treatments, had said the organization would carry on with her legacy.
It would later launch its 40@40 initiative to grant 40 couples “in dire need of reproductive interventions the opportunity to become parents” as Ibidun had planned before her demise.
