Omah Lay, the Nigerian singer, has revealed that he traveled to the United States to search for a girlfriend.

The ‘Holy Ghost’ hitmaker spoke about his relationship woes in a chat with Ferrari Simmons and Byron Turner on The Baller Alert Show.

Omah Lay confessed that his search for a partner in Nigeria hadn’t been successful.

“What brings me to the States? I am looking for a girlfriend. That is why I came to the States. I have been searching in Nigeria, but it is not working,” he said.

When questioned if he was one of those men who subscribe to the ideology of multiple wives, he said: “No I don’t, that is not even something I encourage. I am not.”

The singer, born Stanley Omah Didia, in 2022, talked about his lack of sexual encounters.

He also recently announced his upcoming collaboration with Davido, the Afrobeats star.

Having been a music producer, he rose to the limelight in 2020 following the release of his two hit singles ‘You’ and ‘Bad Influence’.

The singer has continued to make a name for himself in the Nigerian music industry with his unique music style.

He has also earned a plethora of nominations and awards for his craft.
