Ruger, the Nigerian singer and songwriter, says he would be getting married this year.
In a Snapchat post, the 25-year-old musician expressed how the recent surge in weddings has made him rethink his “playboy” lifestyle.
He confessed that with his 30th birthday approaching, he feels it’s time to settle down.
“Everybody is just getting married. Got me questioning myself— how long will I continue this playboy shiii? I am settling down this year, period. I’ll soon be 30, tf,” he wrote.
In 2024, Ruger revealed his interest in dating DJ Cuppy, the daughter of Nigerian businessman Femi Otedola.
In September 2023, the Afrobeats star argued that Nigerian women are not the “best in the world”.
In June 2023, the singer was criticised for caressing and groping some ladies at a concert in Canada.

The same year, he released ‘Pandemic’, his first extended play (EP), which gained massive traction.
In February 2024, he confirmed his exit from Jonzing World Record and unveiled Blown Boy Entertainment, his own record label.
The music star has received a plethora of awards and recognition for his craft. In 2021, he won the AFRIMA Best Newcomer Award.
