Laycon, the winner of the 2020 Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality TV show, has described himself as a god in a human body.
The ‘Fierce’ crooner spoke in an interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the host, barely two days after the reality show came to an end.
“Laycon is a god in a human body,” the 26-year-old musician said when asked “who is Laycon?”.
“I never thought I would win BBNaija. I mean, why not Dorothy. At the back of my mind, I never thought I could win money. I just came to promote myself and my song. When I look at the other five people, I thought I was going to be second.”
Speaking on the rise in his Instagram followers from 3,700 to 1.5 million, Laycon said: “It excites me; makes me grateful. It makes me feel, ‘So, people can connect with me?’.
“It makes me feel like I have a lot of work to do because the point of existing as a human being is to use your own to help other people. I’m very very grateful to my fans,” he added
“I’m looking forward to sharing the rest of this journey with you because it doesn’t end here.”
Laycon snagged the reality show’s N85 million grand prize on Sunday night.
