Regina Chukwu, the Nollywood actress, has opened up about her near-death experience with malaria.

The movie star took to her Instagram page on Wednesday to narrate how she thought she was going to die.

Chukwu said the illness was the “gift” she came back with from her movie location.

“That was the gift I came back with from location. I tot I was gonna die! Never felt this sick before, [in] my whole life. Malaria is truly a killer disease. Recuperating and I am thankful,” she wrote.
