BBNaija’s Nini: I’m willing to date for 10 years, have babies before marriage

Nini, a Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija) season six housemate, says she is scared of getting married. 

The 26-year-old model spoke of her marital fears during a discussion with Saskay, Queen, and other housemates on Thursday night.

During the conversation, Saskay had expressed her concerns over marriage, citing her past relationship experience.

“Between last year and this year, I think I’ve received four proposals. I accepted all and right now, none is working,” she said.

Reacting, Nini also expressed her worries over getting married, saying she is not ready to settle down.

The entrepreneur also said she wouldn’t mind dating a man for 10 years and have kids with him before eventually deciding to tie the knot when she’s ready.

Nini added that her mindset about marriage has caused setbacks in her past relationships as her boyfriends often consider her unserious.

“Nobody is more scared of marriage than I am. I’m so scared of marriage. I don’t know if it’s my mindset because it’s something I’m so scared of. It’s a bold step,” she said.

“I’m ready to take as much time. I can even date you for 10 years before we do it. I’m on that vibe. I don’t mind dating for 10 years and all my boyfriends I’ve had think I have issues and I’m unserious.

“Because I’m basically giving you this relationship, don’t try and come and propose. I’m not ready. I love them but I want to make sure everything is right.

“With everything going on in the world right now, I don’t want to rush into anything, please. I don’t have strength.”

Nini said dating a man for long until she’s ready to marry does not mean she would be unfaithful in her relationship.

“I can date you for 10 years. We’ll be faithful. Let’s just date and be happy and merry. I don’t mind having babies while dating. I love babies but I want to make sure that everything is right before I have mine. I love babies,” she added.

The spotlight has continued to beam on Nini over her affair with Saga, a fellow housemate.

She had earlier said she is having a pregnancy scare on the show despite claiming that she is a virgin.
