Yomi Fabiyi, Nigerian actor, has dismissed a claim by Bimpe Oyebade, fellow movie star, that he harassed her because she refused his sexual advances.

The actress, better known as Mo Bimpe, had recently claimed she was allegedly subjected to “constant harassment, bully and threats” by Fabiyi.

Her comment had come in the wake of the dust that trailed ‘Oko Iyabo‘, Fabiyi’s movie on the ongoing Baba Ijesha saga.

“Yomi Fabiyi needs to be stopped. Enough is enough. Thank God for his grace, if not I would have given up on this dream because of his constant harassment, bully and threats,” she had said.

But speaking with Punch, Fabiyi dismissed the allegation. He said although he indeed tried to woo her, he did not use force as she claimed.

“Ask her if she made sexual advances to me and not vice versa. I did not notice her first. She was the one that noticed me. Besides, if we did make advances at each other, we are both adults,” he said.

The actor and movie producer wondered why Mo Bimpe would take sexual attraction to mean sexual harassment, describing such comparison as “silly.”

“The most important thing is that there was no force. Do not make it look like because I am an actor, I do not have a right to have emotions or sexual feelings,” he added.

“Sexual attraction is different from sexual harassment. We need to educate these young people. We are talking about sexual harassment and she is talking about ‘toasting’. Is that not silly?”
