Some of Nigeria’s best upcoming rappers are set to square up against each other on the 4th season of Hennessy Artistry VS Class.
VS Class is a platform for upcoming rappers and hip-pop fiends to showcase their skills and compete in lyrical battles.
Selected artists will be given an opportunity to sign a deal with a record label.
Winner of last season, Holyfield, got signed to Aristokrat Records, and he’s set to release his debut album this year.
“Since its inception, it has become the biggest platform for up-and-coming rap MCs to showcase their talent to millions of people across the globe,” said a statement by the organisers.
“The show brings together the best MCs all over Nigeria, who are carefully selected via a well curated audition process to compete in a series of lyrical battles on air over a period of 6 weeks.
“This year the stage is set and the floor is on fire for up and coming MCs who believe they have what it takes to earn the bragging right as the MC of the year.”
There will be both online and live auditions for interested participants — who are expected to upload a one-minute video clip on Instagram, using the hashtag, #HennessyVSClassAuditions.
