Regina Daniels has accused her husband Ned Nwoko of orchestrating the arrest of her family members amid their ongoing marital dispute.
The crisis, which has captivated the public, began when a tearful video of Daniels went viral. The video showed Regina accusing her husband of domestic violence.
In his response to the controversy, Nwoko had alleged that the actress was struggling with drug and alcohol abuse.
Sammy West, brother to Nollywood actress, recently lamented that he was “invited by police to report for questioning in Abuja through a WhatsApp message”.
In an Instagram post on Monday, Daniels claimed that her “big brother and big sister have been arrested” and that her “baby sister might be arrested soon”.
She appealed to Nwoko, writing, “Leave my family alone Ned! And leave me alone too!”
The 25-year-old Nollywood star framed the arrests as leverage to force her “return to rehab”.
Daniels denied Nwoko’s allegations of drug addiction. She also promised to eventually “tell the world of your involvement with everything,” hinting at a future revelation that would counter his claims.
“Someone pls help me! I feel Like I’m losing my mind. I never thought I would do this but My big brother and big sister has been arrested, My baby sister might be arrested soon as well until I return and according to him, return to rehab,” she wrote.
“Don’t even get me started on telling the world what you did to me with your stupid rehab talk! You said l’m a drug addict, me l use am rob body sir! What other name can you call me? A prostitute? But I will speak on that one day and tell the world of your involvement with everything!
“I’m trying, l’m really trying to be the bigger person by not saying or doing anything whereas I’m fu*king young, petty and immature! So I can act like a f**king 24years old child and speak my pain! Leave my family alone Ned! And leave me alone too!
“It is obvious it’s war! And a big shame that the beautiful but short legacy we built is about to be ridiculed by the whole world. Must things go completely south if partners are no longer interested?
“Guys I tried to stay mute on things, My sons and family are the biggest challenge of my life but I will overcome and give them what they all truly deserve. This is so freaking Embarrassing! Hard girl like me crying.”
There are rumours that the detained family members are being held at the Ogombo police station in Lekki, Lagos.
