The award-winning rapper, known to be very active in the #EndSARS campaign, took to his Instagram page to share a video, showing a fight at a restaurant.

He was said to be dining at 805 Restaurant, a spot popular among Nigerians, when he was attacked by four men.

“Being attacked by four misguided boys will not deter me from fighting for the youths even though they blindly fight me,” he wrote.

The incident has since dominated the conversation on social media platforms.

While a segment of users pointed the accusing finger at Naira Marley, others were of the opinion that the gifted rapper might have staged his own attack as a “publicity stunt to promote his upcoming event and resurrect his ailing career.”

“..so 4 people violently beat Ruggedman, but he came out without injuries?,” asked a Twitter user.

“Ruggedman attacked in London shortly after Naira Marley’s release from prison. I’ve seen the video and there’s a possibility that wasn’t him. With all the blows he was thrown in his face he’s still looking fresh. This may be scripted. Anyway, Say no Yahoo Yahoo and violence,” another user said.

Here is what some Nigerians had to say:
