‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ and ‘Saturday Night Live’ came third with 21 nominations each followed by ‘Ted Lasso’ and ‘Lovecraft Country’ with 20 and 18 nominations respectively.
The annual award event honours excellence across the various sectors of the television industry in the world.
This year’s edition will be hosted by Cedric the Entertainer, American media personality.
It will also be graced by a limited live audience of nominees and their guests unlike last year which held virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Creative Arts version of the awards will hold on September 18, a day before the main event.
