TikTok has officially announced its top songs of the summer in Nigeria for 2025, with BhadBoi OML’s ‘Wasiu Ayinde’ claiming the number one spot.
The hit single, named after the legendary Fuji star, is the fourth track from OML’s ‘Bhad Boi’ (deluxe) album.
The list also features major Afrobeats stars, with Davido’s ‘With You’ and Olamide’s ‘99’ both making the top 10.
Fast-rising singer Shoday demonstrated his growing influence by securing two entries on the chart through featured appearances on tracks by Rybeena and Spyro. Notably, Gaise Baba and Lawrence Oyor’s ‘No Turning Back II’ stood out as the only gospel song to break into the summer rankings.
In a statement, Toyin Mustapha, TikTok’s head of music partnerships, UK, Ireland and Sub-Saharan Africa, celebrated the platform’s role in music discovery.
She described TikTok as a place “where music truly comes to life,” fostering a unique community where fans, creators, and artists collectively shape culture.
“TikTok is where music truly comes to life. It’s a space where songs are discovered, collective enjoyment is cemented, artistes grow and opportunities open up in ways that weren’t possible before,” she said.
“What makes it special is the community, where fans, creators and musicians all come together to shape culture, and in this case, seasons, in real time. The Songs of the Summer show how powerful that connection is, and how TikTok continues to be the platform where Nigerian music can break boundaries and reach the world.”
