D’banj, the Nigerian singer, has gifted two up-and-coming artistes the sum of N1 million each.
The music star gave the artistes the money at the 2021 Felabration, an annual music festival in memory of Fela Kuti, the late Afrobeat pioneer.
The ongoing Felabration has continued to gain traction with top acts performing to the thrill of teeming fans.
One of such performances occurred on Sunday night when D’banj took to the stage to entertain his audience.
During the performance, two budding artistes joined D’banj on stage to showcase their skills.
Visibly impressed, Dbanj pledged N1 million each to the duo.
TheCable Lifestyle had earlier reported how D’banj signed Feza Kessy, a fast-rising Tanzanian artiste, into DB Records, his music label.
He had also disclosed that he is building what he termed “an entertainment village” in Abuja.
D’banj has won several awards including the ‘Best African Act’ at the MTV Europe Music Awards (2007), ‘Artist of the Year’ at the MTV Africa Music Awards (2009), and ‘Best International Act: Africa’ at the 2011 BET Awards.

On October 1, D’banj put out his latest body of work titled ‘Stress-Free‘.
In the eight-track project, the singer featured Seun Kuti, son of Fela Kuti; and Burna Boy, the Grammy-winning singer.
