Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, the Canadian singer better known as The Weeknd, has left his fans confused after sharing a cryptic message on social media.

The Weeknd took to his Twitter page in the early hours of Wednesday to put out a tweet with the caption “Goodbye earth…”

The Grammy-winning singer, however, didn’t provide context to the tweet that has been viewed over 4.2 million times — leaving millions of fans bewildered.

“Bro are you okay are you high who did this to you?” a user asked.

Another user wrote: “Earth loves you Faye. Stay let’s dance till time ticks away that time bomb of life.”

Some users were of the opinion it could be related to a music project.
