Falz, the singer and rapper, has announced the winners of the #MrYakubuChallenge.
The music star took to his Instagram page on Saturday to reveal the handles of the 10 winners.
In March, the music star released ‘Mr Yakubu‘, his latest single, featuring Vector, the rapper.
In the song, the rappers aimed a dig at the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over the conduct of the 2023 general election.
The song also triggered the #MrYakubuChallenge on social media.
In the challenge, users showcase their singing skills by covering the song or singing their favourite verses.
Last week, Falz announced that he will be joining forces with Vector for a music project.
He also revealed that the top three entries will feature in his upcoming project.
But on Saturday, Falz said he “underestimated” the challengers who have now become too “dope to be ignored”.
He said he would be featuring the winners in an extended remix version of the hit song.
He also said the ‘Mr Yakubu’ remix will be included as a track in his collabo project with Vector.
“We initially announced that there would be 3 winners from the challenge,” he wrote.
“We later realized that was an underestimate… There are too many dope entries that we cannot ignore, so we decided to stretch that number to 10! Even this was tough.
“All winners be featured on the extended remix version of #MrYakubu – one of the tracks on the Falz x VEC collab project dropping in a bit!”
