Andre ‘Dr Dre’ Young, an American rapper and music producer, is currently in the hospital undergoing treatment after suffering a brain aneurysm.
A brain aneurysm is a bulge or ballooning in a weakened blood vessel in the brain which can leak or rupture, thereby causing bleeding in the brain.
According to TMZ, the 55-year-old was admitted to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and placed in the intensive care unit (ICU) on Monday.
He was, however, reported to be in a stable condition while doctors are yet to discover the cause of the bleeding.
Dr Dre also took to his Instagram page on Wednesday to appreciate his friends and family for the love and support while revealing that he is doing fine.

“Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes. I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love,” he wrote.
The development comes at about the same time when the hip hop star is battling a messy divorce with Nicole Young, who he married back in 1996.
In June last year, Nicole had filed a suit requesting divorce from the music mogul. She also cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for her decision.
