Tolani Otedola, the Nigerian singer, has come through with a new single titled ‘Crybaby’.
Tolani, daughter of Femi Otedola, the billionaire businessman, announced the song’s release on streaming platforms.
In ‘Crybaby,’ the songstress explores love, heartbreak, and resilience. With soulful vocals and raw lyrics, Tolani captures the pain of unrequited love and the strength to heal.
A poignant anthem for those navigating lost love, ‘Crybaby’ follows Tolani’s earlier release, ‘I Believe,’ featuring Qdot.
The singer, who is well-known for her soulful Afrobeats, R&B, and pop style, also accompanied the song with a soul-stirring music video.

Tolani has released other hits including ‘Fire on the Mountain’ (2021), ‘Badman’ (2020), ‘Maybe Baby’ (2019), ‘Liar’ (2019), and ‘Ba Mi Lo’ (2019) among others.
Earlier speaking on her source of musical inspiration, the singer said seclusion stimulates her to communicate realistic situations through music.
“When you’re a musician, you’re always surrounded by music, you’re always surrounded by sounds, creative people, it’s a lot of noise. So you’ll really wanna switch off…I think that if you’re creative, you’re always on the lookout for something that piques your interest and makes you want to write, to sing,” the singer said in a 2019 interview.
“But I also get inspired by being alone, then you’ll get the power to reflect. Especially when I’m trying to write music coming from a place of trying to communicate something real, something you can feel. Being alone is also good.”
Tolani is also a big sister to Florence Otedola otherwise known as DJ Cuppy, and Temi Otedola, a fashion blogger.
