The song, which was released in the early hours of Friday alongside its visuals, comes on the heels of ‘TBDK’, a collaborative single with Sinzu and Erigga, Nigerian rappers.

The track sees Oxlade deploy his sonorous vocal prowess on the hook to set MI up for a fantastic delivery of his wordplay.

The duo dipped into their bags of affection to express their desire for life partners.

“All my life| And I [have] been wishing you would be my wife| Baby, I’ve been searching all my life| I been wishing you could be my bride| To be my life| Girl I [have] been waiting for someone like you,” Oxlade sings on the hook.

“Omo I’ve been looking for someone like you| All my life I hoped to meet somebody spеcial that I could devote to| My father said, comе over here let me coach you| When you meet your soul mate the sky would be so blue,” MI raps in a mixture of English and Yoruba.

MI began his music career when he returned to Nigeria from the United States in 2003. Finding his place in an industry dominated by the likes of Modenine, Ruggedman, and Eedris Abdulkareem, he quickly commenced the production of mixtapes.

This led to the critically acclaimed single ‘Safe’, which was followed by the release of his first album ‘Talk About It’. Ever since, MI has made a total of four albums, four mixtapes, two extended plays, and one compilation project.
