Ruger, the Nigerian singer, has come through with a new song titled ‘Toma Toma’.
The songwriter released the song on Friday across all streaming platforms.
In ‘Toma Toma,’ the 25-year-old collaborated with renowned songstress Tiwa Savage to create a Northern rhythm-style song.
In the three-minute song, Ruger confidently brags about his agility as a man, boasting of his ability to satisfy a woman in all ways. He also showcases his financial status and material possessions.
“Since ’21 dem dance my toma/ I never stopped giving them to back to back/ All of the girls I give them koba koba/ No replica, ‘Cause I am the main man/ One of one, 10/10/ Nobody better/ They eat whatever I serve/ Ferragamo Gucci I get/ Cartier, Rollie I wear/ I too fresh, I’m aware/ Not on my level,” he sings.
Tiwa Savage adds her signature style to the track, shutting down haters with her verse.
“From where? To where? To where?/ What are you trying to tell me?/ You’ve nеver ever seen a vеry humble courtesy ni**a like me?/ I no hear say,” she sings.
Ruger appreciated Savage for the collaboration and revealed that ‘Toma Toma’ was produced by Kukbeatz.
Born Michael Adebayo, Ruger rose to prominence in 2021 after signing a record deal with D’Prince’s Jonzing World Record, an affiliate of Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records.
In February, he confirmed his exit from Jonzing World Record and unveiled Blown Boy Entertainment, his record label.
The music star has received several awards and recognition. In 2021, he won the AFRIMA Best Newcomer Award.
He also won the best new artiste category at the 2023 Soundcity MVP Awards.
