Remilekun Safaru, the rapper-songwriter better known as Reminisce, has come through with ‘Hustle’, his latest song.
The 41-year-old released the collaborative project — featuring BNXN, the singer formerly known as Buju, and D Smoke, the US rapper — on Wednesday.
In the less than four-minute song, the musicians croon about the importance of staying strong to achieve one’s goals despite the day-to-day challenges in life.
“Steady on my grind. I’m focused on many wheezes. But in a couple of years
I’m prepping for many seasons. My girl is my motivation. To ba mo mi. You should see this,” the song’s lyrics read.
Reminisce has continued to enjoy fame since his foray into the music landscape in 2006. In 2008, he had a rap verse on a track off ‘Gongo Aso’, 9ice’s sophomore album.
He started pulling the weight of fame after he put out ‘Ever since’ and ‘If Only’, his first and second singles respectively.
He is also famous for his acting skills, having starred in the Kemi Adetiba-directed action drama, ‘King of Boys‘.
Buju has also maintained his impressive career strides since he came into the spotlight.
In 2020, he won the City People Entertainment Awards for the ‘Revelation of the Year’s category.
He also featured on the top-charting single ‘Feeling’ by Ladipoe before teaming up with Wizkid for the deluxe edition of ‘Made In Lagos’ album.
