Divine Ikubor, a Mavin Records-signed singer better known as Rema, has put out ‘Peace of Mind’, his latest single.
The singer took to his social media pages to announce the release of the project to his numerous fans on Friday.
In the post, the ‘Ginger Me’ singer stressed the importance of the new song to him, describing the project as one “from the bottom” of his soul.
“This one’s from the bottom of my soul. Peace of mind out now prod by @kelpvibes,” he wrote on Twitter.
The less than four-minute song sees Rema crooning about his search for peace amid the battle with everyday challenges that are unknown to many.
“I’m looking for some peace of mind, I’m looking for some peace, I’m looking for some peace, I’m looking for some peace of mind. Nobody know, nobody know, nobody know wetin I dey see oh, nobody know, nobody know,” he could be heard singing.
The 20-year-old singer also reflected on the challenges confronting Nigerians on daily basis in their quest to eke out a living due to the poor state of things in the country.
“You no fit dey this country wey you no dey craze, gunshot no let me meditate, hypertension full the place, people dey die, police sef go deny the case,” he added.
“This pain, this pain, this pain no be only my pain, many people pain join my pain, many people pain dey run my vein, many people don die in vain.”
Rema has continued to pull the strings in the country’s music industry with strings of beautiful offerings. He has snagged numerous awards as well as collaborations with other Nigerian music heavyweights.
