Olamide has put out a new single featuring Asake ahead of his long-awaited 12th studio album.
The single, titled ‘New Religion’, comes ahead of the July 15 release date set for his anticipated ‘Unruly’ album.
‘New Religion’, which was released alongside a music video, blends Amapiano, Hip Hop, and elements of Fuji.
In the song, Olamide raps about his hustle life, his spending habits, affluence, and connecting with his kind.
‘New Religion’ comes after Olamide and Asake similarly teamed up for the song ‘Amapiano‘.
Olamide put out his debut studio album ‘Rapsodi’ in 2011.
After releasing ‘YBNL’, his second studio album, he launched YBNL Nation, his independent label imprint.
The record label produced talented musicians like Lil Kesh, Adekunle Gold, Fireboy, and Chinko Ekun.
In 2020, YBNL signed a joint venture deal with Empire Distribution, a US music label and publishing company.
For Asake, his latest work with Olamide further extends his collaborative outputs with Nigeria’s music bigwigs.
Asake became famous following the release of his breakout single titled ‘Mr. Money’.
In February 2022, the singer was signed to YBNL, leaving multiple hit songs in his wake.
Last year, he sold out his first show at the O2 Brixton in London after five minutes.
He has also won numerous awards for his craft.
