Victoria Valentino, the former model for the US lifestyle magazine Playboy, has sued Bill Cosby for alleged sexual assault.

Valentino, according to CNN, filed the lawsuit on Thursday in Los Angeles where she made several allegations.

She alleged, in the suit filed through her lawyer, that Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted her in 1969 after she met him.

Valentino, now 80, claimed she and a friend had dinner with the comedian, aged 85, where they were given pills.

She alleged that they went to an office with him where they would later struggle to keep their eyes open.

“After ingesting the pill, Plaintiff’s head began nodding and she struggled to keep her head up and stay awake. Plaintiff felt nauseated, and her head was spinning. She stated, ‘I want to go home now,’” Valentino’s filing reads.

“Plaintiff was incapable of consent by reason of being drugged by Cosby and physically helpless.”

Valentino filed the suit under a new California law that gives residents a three-year window in which they can file civil sexual assault lawsuits that would otherwise be barred by an expired statute of limitations.

The former Playboy model is seeking general, special, and punitive damages, as well as attorney and court fees.

Bill Cosby has been the subject of multiple sexual assault allegations dating back to 1965.

Andrew Wyatt, a representative for Cosby, was quoted to have described Valentino’s suit as “disappointing”.

He said: “Statutes of limitations reside in the constitution in order to protect those who are victims of a crime and to protect those that are accused of a crime.

“Unfortunately, these look-back windows are brought to life because our political figures are being driven by click-baiters, likes, and followers, in order to excel in their political aspirations.”
