Olakira, ‘Maserati’ hitmaker, has put out ‘4 Play’, a six-track extended play (EP) ahead of his debut studio album.
The full project, which comes on the heels of ‘Sere‘, the Afro-Pop and dancehall singer’s teaser track, includes such songs as ‘Gotchu’, ‘Call on Me’, ‘For Life’, and ‘Sumner Time’.
The body of work sees Olakira deploy his lyrical prowess towards showcasing his overall musical dexterity. It enlisted producers like SterryO, Drumatik, Simba Tagz, Mr Kamera, Qasebeatz, and TBoy Daflame.
Sung in Yoruba, Igbo, Pidgin, and English, ‘4 Play’ sees Olakira unite African sounds together in melodies reechoing the heartbeat of his motherland.
It features Zuchu, Tanzanian songstress; Sho Madjozi, South African rapper; and Moonchild Sanelly.
“#4play is about 4 tracks to tease and stimulate lovers of good music prior to intercourse (Debut Album),” read the editor’s note.
Olakira has continued to blaze the trail in the music scene with his unique music style spanning Afropop, R&B, and Afrobeat.
He had teamed up with Davido, a multiple-award winner, for the masterclass delivery of the remix to ‘Maserati’ — the song that fetched him fame and a huge fanbase.
