Mayorkun, the Nigerian singer, has put out a new single titled ‘Certified Loner (No Competition)’.


The musician announced the release of the song via social media in the early hours of Friday.

The song, produced by Clemzy, is Mayorkun’s first official single since the beginning of 2022. It also comes on the back of ‘Back In Office,’ his 2021 album.

The song sees the 28-year-old music star talking about how he enjoys staying on his lane and avoiding unhealthy competitions.


“It costs me nothing I can tell you for free/ I’m a certified loner, a certified loner/ So nobody get time for competition/ O’ngbona no air condition/ Nobody can take my position/ E sure for me o/ Till I hang jersey o/ So many many talking isokuso,” the lyrics read.

The singer gained popularity after ‘The Mayor of Lagos,’ his debut album, featuring D’banj, Davido, Patoranking among others.

He has established himself as a household name in the music industry. He also bagged several awards including ‘Next Rated’ artiste at the 2018 edition of The Headies as well as ‘Artiste of the Year’ back in 2017.


The Osun state indigene holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
