Sulaimon Shekoni, the Nigerian singer better known as Khaid, has put out a new single titled ‘Run Away’.

Khaid took to his Instagram page in the early hours of Friday to announce the project’s release.

The ‘Jolie’ hitmaker also enlisted the dexterity of Gyakie, the Ghanaian singer and songwriter, to deliver a pleasant work of art.

“Because you no say na you dey for my conscience na the reason why you dey gara/ And anytime I say make you give me job you no  dey even try add jara/ Omalicha Omalicha why?” Khaid sings.

“Oh baby no go run away, look in my eyes you go feel my pain/ No tell me say make I run my race, spin me around like a hurricane”.

On her part, Gyakie adds her unique touch to the song, singing about how she misses her love interest.

“Baby, I miss you baby and I’m all you thinking/ If you really love me choose between me and the other shorty/ You really think I’m blind/ Omo why you dey do me 419,” she sings.

Khaid is signed under Neville Records, a music label owned by Sydney Talker, the skit-maker.

He was unveiled by the comedian in January 2022.

Since the release of his hit single ‘With You’ in 2022, the singer is fast becoming one of the Nigerian musicians to be reckoned with.

Gyakie, on the other hand, came into the limelight after releasing her debut extended play (EP) titled ‘Seed’.
