In the nearly three-minute track, the ‘Joy Is Coming’ hitmaker flaunts his financial wins while clapping back at critics.

The song, packed with braggadocious lyrics, sees Fido reveling in his success. He also takes sly jabs at doubters.

“Money, money, money, money moves/ Moni, moni, moni wan o lé rí mí mú/ Plenty money motí dorí wàn rú/ Gbédu tó lé moni ole ku han han/ Dori wàn rú aaa moti dorí wàn rú/ Dem come dey wonder as he God he do/ Because I calm some say I be mumu/ I give dem your hot jam dem go dance brukutu,” he sings.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Fido explained that ‘Money Moves’ was born out of gratitude for his rapid rise in the music industry.

“I would say the inspiration behind ‘Money Moves’ is just me finding myself in a space whereby I’m giving thanks to God for what he has done in my life, the blessings that he has granted me to receive, and the grace that I used when I came into the industry,” he said.

Born Awosika Olayemi, Fido gained mainstream recognition with his breakout single ‘Awolowo’ and began his career under Inner Circle Entertainment.

Earlier this year, his label Oosha Records announced a partnership with global music company EMPIRE, signaling a new phase in his career.

In March, the singer came under fire after accusing Inner Circle Entertainment of financial mismanagement.
