Ahmed Ololade, the Afrobeats sensation popularly known as Asake, has released his third studio album titled ‘Lungu Boy’.
The ‘Lonely At The Top’ hitmaker announced the album release in the early hours of Friday.
In the 15-track project, the singer enlists the expertise of prominent rappers like Stormzy, Travis Scott, Central Cee, Ludmilla, the Brazilian singer; and Wizkid.
The songs in the album include ‘MMS’, ‘Mood’, ‘My Heart’, ‘Worldwide’, ‘Active’, ‘Suru’, ‘Skating’, ‘Wave’, and ‘Mentally’.
Other tracks are ‘Uhh Yeah’, ‘I Swear’, ‘Ligali’, and ‘Whine’. The singer also added a bonus track titled ‘Fuji Vibe’.
The Grammy-nominated hitmaker rose to prominence in 2020 with his hit song ‘Lady’. The singer joined YBNL, the record label owned by Olamide, in February 2022.
He has released two studio albums, ‘Mr Money With The Vibes’ (2022) and ‘Work of Art’ (2023). He has also earned a plethora of awards and nominations for his craft.
Asake was nominated in the Best African Music Performance’ category at the 2024 Grammys for ‘Amapiano’, his hit song with Olamide, the rapper.
The singer announced the ‘Lungu Boy World’ tour in June. He is set to kick off the tour on August 16 in Washington, DC and conclude it on October 6 in Australia.
Asake also revealed that he will perform at the 20,000-capacity London auditorium on September 21.
Last year, the Afrobeats star delivered a sold-out performance at the O2 Arena. The singer made a dramatic entrance via helicopter and thrilled the crowd with his hit tracks like ‘Olorun’, ‘Omo Ope’ and ‘Amapiano’.
