Olatunji Oladotun Alade, Nigerian singer and rapper better known as Dotman, has announced the arrival of his first child — a boy — with his girlfriend in Houston, Texas.
The 27-year-old singer shared the news on his social media platforms in the early hours of Friday.
The singer also accompanied the post with a picture of himself, the newborn baby, and the mother with smiles etched on their faces.

Friends and fans have begun to bombard the comment section of the post with congratulatory messages.
The ‘Akube’ crooner, who recently released his debut album titled ‘Hakuna Matata’, is holding no shot back in and outside the music scene.
Dotman, who graduated with a physics education degree from the University of Lagos, started his career in 2015, with a single titled ‘Yes Melo’, which he later remixed with Olamide, another Nigerian rapper.
His career took a sharp advance after he dished out the street-inclined track ‘Akube’, and a soulful-emotional single titled ‘My Woman’ in 2016.
In an interview with TheCable Lifestyle in February, the ‘Enugbe’ singer, who signed with Labo Entertainment, explained how his environment inspired him to make music.
“I’m very vigilant, so I take note of everything happening. My songs are inspired by my environment,” he had said.
“It could be things that happened to me or a friend; someone who shared a story with me; something I read. It could be anything. I just want to touch lives, spread hope and happiness regardless of how crazy it can be.”
