Florence Otedola, the Nigerian Disc Jockey better known as DJ Cuppy, has made her acting debut in the new Netflix series ‘Supacell’.

Cuppy, who made a cameo appearance as a disc jockey in the first episode, shared the news via Instagram on Thursday.

She said she had reached out to Rapman, the British rapper and director of the series, for a spot in his production three years ago.

The DJ expressed excitement about the project and encouraged her fans to watch the series.

“Your girl is a part of a groundbreaking TV show! Three years ago, I took a chance and reached out to Rapman on Twitter, and now look where we are,” she wrote.

“Today, I proudly claim this small-small role as my acting debut @SupacellNetflixTV is out now! Go and watch.”

‘Supacell’ is a British drama series that focuses on black superheroes.

It explores critical issues affecting black communities, such as human trafficking, extreme surveillance, and predatory medical practices.

Rapman serves as showrunner, creator, writer, and lead director on the project for Netflix.

The series features a talented cast including Josh Tedeku, Calvin Demba, Eric Kofi-Abrefa, Nadine Mills, Tosin Cole, and Adelayo Adedayo.

DJ Cuppy, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, has shown some versatility as a Nigerian entertainer.

Beyond her DJ career, she also gained recognition as a musician with hit singles like ‘Gelato’, ‘Green Light’, ‘Feel Good’, and ‘Vybe’.

Cuppy recently met King Charles III and was appointed The King’s Trust international ambassador.
