Dapo ‘Dbanj’ Oyebanjo on Thursday received his entertainment icon plaque from the Black Entertainment, Film, Fashion, Television, Arts and Sports Awards (BEFFTA).
The 2016 edition of the BEFFTA awards took place October 27 and 28 at the Rock Tower in London.
D’banj who’s on a tour of the United Kingdom, announced on his social media page that he received his award from Lord John Bird, a parliamentarian.
“Yesterday, I received the #BEFFTA Entertainment Icon Award at the British House of Parliament in Westminster, London From Lord John Bird.
“I am Humbled for this unique opportunity to be a beacon of Visible Hope,” the singer said.
BEFFTA is regarded as Europe’s biggest award ceremony for black and ethnic minority.
The eight edition of the event was attended by stars from UK Europe, USA, Asia and Africa.
BEFFTA is aimed at honouring the best entertainment, showbiz, leadership and sports personalities in the UK and across the globe.
