Davido has hinted at a possible music collaboration with Wizkid.
The music heavyweight spoke about the partnership in a chat with Beat FM — at about the same time he released ‘Timeless‘, his fourth album.
He also said the collaboration is likely to be in 2024 after he must have concluded his tour for ‘Timeless’.
Davido’s comment followed after the ‘Ojuelegba’ crooner announced in January that he will be going on a tour with his colleague.
In March, Wizkid, however, postponed the tour, saying the development was due to some “unforeseen logistical circumstances.”
“Yeah. I would be lying to you if I tell you that the tour is not in the talks. So it’s looking like next year. But I have to do my ‘Timeless’ tour first. And the tour is coming up in July in almost 20 arena,” Davido said.
“I think me and Wiz are probably going to drop a record and we are going to tour. Shout out to my brother. He literally calls me every week and checks on me. Shout out to Wiz.”
Shortly after Davido’s album release, Wizkid asked his fans to visit streaming platforms and listen to ‘Timeless’.
In the interview, Davido also expressed his displeasure with the just-concluded general election.
“I am happy people were not really calling me because they know that if I was online I will be very vocal. I have always been vocal about it,” he said.
“But I wasn’t happy about it. That is just being honest. I personally don’t feel like that was a credible election.”
