David Adeleke, the award-winning Nigerian singer, better known as Davido, says he can’t stay away from  politics because “It’s in my blood”.

The ‘OBO’ crooner was reacting to a Twitter user who advised him to avoid politics.

On Saturday, Davido addressed a recent court order restraining the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from recognising Ademola Adeleke, his uncle, as the candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming Osun governorship election.

Last week, Ademola was declared the winner of the parallel PDP governorship primary election backed by the national working committee (NWC) of the party, while Dotun Babayemi was announced as the winner of the Olagunsoye Oyinlola faction.

But an Osun state high court had ordered INEC not to recognise the former senator’s victory at the polls.

Some people had argued that the court’s decision could jeopardise the ex-lawmaker’s ambition at the much-awaited Osun gubernatorial election.

In his reaction, Davido wrote: “Stop spreading this nonsense cap state courts don’t have jurisdiction, only federal high courts can handle post primary matters. Keep fooling y’all selves! #IMOLEDE.”

Responding to the singer’s post, a Twitter user identified as Chime Fabian, wrote: “OBO, how I wish you have stayed off politics!!!!”

Davido, however, fired back. “Sorry it’s in my blood and it’s def my passion … and it ain’t stopping sh*t!”
