Abdulmalik Uthman, the son of Obama DMW, a late aide to Davido‘s aide, has celebrated the singer on the occasion of his 31st birthday.
Obama DMW passed away on June 29, 2021, and was buried the next day.
Following his death, Davido vowed to take care of Abdulmalik and treat him like a son.
In a post via Instagram on Tuesday, Abdulmalik expressed his gratitude to Davido.
He acknowledged the difficulty of keeping promises in life but stated that the singer has consistently fulfilled his pledge to help him since he lost his father.
He also referred to Davido as a “legend” and prayed that “God bless him immensely”.
“Dad, I am writing this from the bottom of my heart, keeping a promise is one of the hardest things in life,” he wrote.
“You promised to help me since I lost my father. You never rejected me, you loved me just the way a father should love his child.
“Every video of us, you always say “My son.” Dad, my father would be very grateful for all you do for me. I love you so much.
“Happy birthday to my father’s friend, someone to cry to, someone who cares, someone who loves me.
“To a father, to a legend, to a humble-hearted man, to a gifted man, to a talented man, to someone whose smile can save a soul. I love you so much.
“Almighty Father in heaven please bless him with your love, your grace, and your mercy, and fill his life with your goodness and your light.”
In July, Abdulmalik bagged a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Adeleke University.
