Davido has taken to social media to announce the release date for Wizkid‘s soon-to-be extended play (EP).
The Afrobeats star, who seems very elated about the new project, revealed that it will be released on December 22.

The ‘Assurance’ hitmaker also disclosed that he will be listening to the project all through the weekend.
Davido’s tweet was shared at about the same time when Wizkid revealed the title of the body of work.

Although Wizkid did not share more details about the project, it is understood that ‘S2’ is the second installment of ‘Soundman EP,‘ his 2019 EP.
The announcement came a month after Wizkid hinted that he is on a five-year hiatus from music.
It also came a few days after the two music heavyweights were seen hanging out at an event in Lagos.
The hangout was the first time they would be spotted together in public in a very long time.
Wizkid and Davido are considered to be among the biggest artistes in Nigeria in contemporary times, with their fans often divided over who is superior.
In the past, the singers had thrown digs at each other on different occasions.
But in July 2022, Wizkid offered an olive branch to Davido after he downplayed the rivalry between them.
The ‘Ojuelegba’ singer had earlier in the year planned on going on a tour with his colleague.
He, however, postponed the tour, citing “unforeseen logistical circumstances.”
In April, Davido hinted at a possible music collaboration with Wizkid.
