Davido, the Afropop singer, says he has acquired a land in Banana Island, a high-brow area in Lagos.
In a Twitter post on Thursday, the ‘The Money’ singer disclosed that he bought the property to build his dream home.
“Let’s build our dream home,” Davido tweeted, while on his Instagram page, he said the proposed house will be the “craziest crib ever”.
Tunde Ednut, a social media influencer, said the singer informed him that he acquired the land for N2.5 billion.
In a post on his Instagram page, Ednut said Davido showed him the receipt of the property.
“OBO just actually showed me the receipt of this land on a call just now. I see receipt, na me fear. Zero too plenty,” he wrote.
The singer also reposted the influencer’s confirmation of the amount he purchased the property.
Many of Davido’s friends and fans have taken to the comment sections of his social media pages to congratulate him on the acquisition.
Last month, the ‘Aye’ singer bought himself a 2022 Mercedes Maybach SUV. The vehicle was said to have cost him $358,300.
Earlier this month, the award-winning singer became the first Nigerian to feature in an official FIFA World Cup soundtrack.
