Ekanem enjoined young ladies to ditch the mindset that marriage is a ticket to financial freedom, urging them to utilise their potential to remain relevant in society.

“Marriage is not a ticket to financial freedom. I know how many married women beg me for money daily,” she wrote.

No business wey no dey yield profit. Some marriages come with combined efforts financially… So prepare not to lack on your own part. May God equip you all with strength and wisdom to run that business you have been planning since.

“I am talking to all the young women who look up to me. I hope you see that I am not going through shortcuts or trying to take the easy way out. My beauty can get me anything I want but I want more than my beauty can get me.”

Ekanem further encouraged people not to be ashamed of starting small, noting that she sells ‘fufu’ despite the negative perception of the business.

“Who knew ‘fufu’ could yield so much profit? But I’m sure a lot of you will be shy to even let people know that you eat fufu talk more of selling it. There’s no shame in legit hustle… let wisdom guide you,” she added.
