Cubana Chief Priest, the nightlife promoter, has advised people not to “run” when invited by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

In an Instagram post on Thursday, Cubana lavished the commission with praises. He told the public that no matter where they “hide”, the EFCC will always catch up with them.

He also said the commission does not “bite or beat”, adding that they only “investigate and prosecute”.

“The eagle will always fly so high to catch you wherever you hide. No need to run when @officialefcc invites you. Just pull up and answer them, they don’t bite, they don’t beat. They only investigate and prosecute,” he wrote

“For their cell bed dey, toilet and bathroom dey. Even breakfast, lunch and dinner is served, so tell me why you are running? How long will you run? Na big man location EFCC be. For me it’s a status symbol.”

Cubana’s post comes a few days after the EFCC filed a three-count charge against him over alleged naira abuse.

He was arraigned at the federal high court in Lagos.

When the charges were read during court sitting, the social media celebrity pleaded not guilty to them.

Kehinde Ogundare, the judge, thereafter granted him bail in the sum of N10 million with two responsible sureties in like sum.

The judge ruled that the bail conditions must be perfected within seven days.

Cubana was released to his lawyer who must give an undertaken to produce him later. He will be remanded in a correctional facility if his lawyer fails to do so.

The EFCC recently said it is investigating several celebrities who may have been involved in currency abuse.
