Veteran actor, Chiwetalu Agu, has delved into the music industry.
The Nollywood star is set to put out a music video album.
Agu has already released on YouTube the trailer for ‘Mr President’, one of the tracks on the upcoming album.
“Nigerians are suffering, there is hunger in the land and someone who is in speaking position has to say something about it,” said Agu who is managed by Kings Music Entertainment.
“The song is not just about trolling politicians, but has other fun tracks that will make you dance, laugh and merry. It is an album for everyone”.
A spokesperson of Kings Music Entertainment said, “He is a legend and we know so many people across the globe will be looking forward to the album. It is clean for the family and you will also expect to see some of his comic lines on the songs”.
Agu’s video album will contain five songs.
The actor was recently criticised by a junior colleague, Gideon Okeke, over his excessive use of profanity in movies.
Okeke lamented the long rope given to Agu to improvise while delivering his lines.
Agu responded by saying he had never heard of Okeke.
“Let him leave the censors board to do their job, or does he work with them? Anybody can say anything or come to whatever conclusion they please. The viewers would judge whether I use vulgar words in movies or not. People who watch movies are the ultimate judges. I do not even know who Gideon Okeke is; I do not think I have ever heard his name,” he said.
