BNXN, the singer formerly known as Buju, has engaged in a subtle confrontation with Davido, the Afrobeats star, on X.
The feud started on Thursday evening after BNXN took to X to unveil and promote his new signee.
Ola, an X-user, who happens to be a fan of Davido, aimed a dig at BNXN, arguing that his new artiste was not very skilled.
Peeved by Ola’s tweet, BNXN referred to the user as a “retard”. He said Ola’s music idol “was not a great artiste either,” arguing that he (Ola) has no moral right to comment about music.
The singer also adopted the slang FEM — which was originated by Davido — while shutting down Ola.
“You be retard. Knowing your fave. You know suppose dey speak on anything regarding music. Fem!,” BNXN wrote.
Davido, who seemed to have been aware of the heated controversy between Ola and BNXN, immediately deleted a tweet where he teased a collaboration with his junior colleague a year ago.
Davido’s action gave fans the impression that he was no longer interested in working with BNXN.
BNXN, however, fired back at the OBO singer. He argued that he wrote the song and would drop it when he was ready to.
This prompted a response from Dremo, a former signee of Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), who tackled BNXN for calling out his former principal.
“@BNXN that tweet was mad disrespectful bro, you can’t be tweeting like you don’t know fans will blowing shit out of proportion cos you clearly knew what you were doing , there are different ways to defend your artiste,” he wrote.

BNXN, however, offered an apology to Davido while responding to Dremo’s post.
“No yawa. I’m sorry,” he wrote.
