Tonto Dikeh, the Nigerian actress, has dismissed claims that she suffered complications during her recent plastic surgery.
Last week, Dikeh announced via Instagram her decision to undergo another liposuction surgery to remove her “tummy fat because it grew back.”
The actress shared a video of herself in the hospital, adding that she is excited about the surgery.
“Finally sharing this exciting news. I have aggressively decided to burn my tummy fat but it has not been easy,” she had said.
“After my first liposuction, I was so careless with my healing process and I loose guard on my stomach. So it grew back.
“With the best medical team, management and care, the body is back to snatched.”
Following Dikeh’s announcement, a Twitter user claimed the actress suffered complications from butt lift surgery and “is in a critical condition.”
“I hear Tonto Dikeh is in a critical condition in a hospital in Dubai? She went for a third liposuction and BBL which is bum bum enlargement,” the user wrote.
“I hear the operation didn’t go well, and she’s now in a critical condition in the hospital! I pray for her quick recovery.”
The actress, however, downplayed the Twitter user’s claim, describing it as “negative unverified nonsense.”
Dikeh said she had her tummy surgery in Enugu and not in Dubai as claimed by the user.
The 37-year-old actress added that her “health is on top notch and I am safe in my own home.”
“The way we celebrate and pray publicly with clout when we hear bad news is alarming,” she said.
“When I came out for deputy governor of my state, I didn’t see strangers like this one, show care by praying for me.
“But as soon as you hear one negative unverified nonsense, you wanna pray publicly and attract all those negative responses.
“Anyways, my surgery in Enugu state went amazing. My body is banging, and my health is on top notch. If you have to pray, please pray I recover half the money I spent on politics.
“No prayer is a waste, but please don’t bother Jesus on my behalf. I am safe in my own home, doing chores and running errands.”
